I am a new customer but so far, the experience has been very good overall. PROS: The phone staff have been responsive, courteous and fair, and my unit is clean and large and in a great location relative to the entrance. The storage facility is very convenient geographically to where I currently live. The price is competitive and manageable, especially relative to other Chapel Hill Storage facilities, and they offered a good deal on the first month. CONS: No onsite hand carts available for use. They charge a $10 rent fee to use the one dolly they have. The unit numbering is very poorly labeled and organized, as is the layout, and there is no keypad at the gate to exit in case the sensors don’t work. The price is still a bit pricey overall. The inner door clearances (firedoors inside between sections and hallways of units) are not wide enough for some large objects and furniture items, so you better be sure to do your homework and measure when you’ve been assigned your unit location, etc.
